Zurich, Switzerland (July 30, 2008) - Henrik Stenson, ranked as one of the top 5 golfers in Europe, has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Stanford Group (Suisse) AG. Stenson joins the Stanford Financial Group’s impressive lineup of golf ambassadors including Vijay Singh, Camilo Villegas, and Morgan Pressel who support Stanford companies around the world.
Placing third in the recent British Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in Southport, England, Stenson continues his success on the European Tour. Stenson is recognized as one of the most exciting talents in European golf and is one of longest hitters in the world. He became a major force on golf’s international stage in 2006 – winning the Qatar Master and the BMW International Open in Germany. Henrik also played a major role when holing the winning putt for the victorious European Ryder Cup Team. In 2007, Stenson won both the Dubai Desert Classic and the World Golf Championship Accenture Match Play, finishing the year ranked 4th in the Order of Merit.
